Amy Mignot & Jenn Barber

Sisters & Co-Owners

The it's called by many locals,  was well known for its specialty coffee,  homemade breakfast and a local gathering place for many of the full time residents in Bolton Landing.  It quickly became a frequented stop when Jenn moved to this quaint town in 2005 and by 2010, she had not only forged a friendship with the owner but also with many of the locals who stopped in daily.  An opportunity for employment was an easy decision for her in 2012 and she's been there ever since.

In 2014, Jenn was approached by The Bean's owner and given first option to purchase the establishment.  This seemed like a second chance at owning her own place as efforts to open a shop with her sister Amy in Glens Falls years prior had never come to completion. The sisters purchased The Bolton Bean in 2014 and have been recognized by many local papers for their efforts in providing a quality meal in a hometown friendly atmosphere.

Amy and Jenn strive to bring the freshest ingredients through Farm to Local with their distributor, only buy local farm fresh eggs and each year they press to be a bit more organic.  They've upgraded the original menu and added a few family recipes (try the carrot salad or baked beans) and all their specialty breads and muffins are bought from local businesses if not made on site.  Exterior upgrades to the cafe include a newly renovated deck & awning, tables & chairs.  Inside you'll find a renovated rest room & fresh paint throughout with all efforts being made to sustain the original 1946 Worcester service diner structure.
